Résumé :

Fruzsina Albert will provide a brief overview of the changes detected regarding the interpersonal networks of the Hungarian adult population over the past three decades, overwhelmingly based on cross-sectional data. There’s a lot of information collected with the same methods regarding core discussion networks, the number of friends, weak ties and loneliness.
Recently we focused on the relational impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, supplementing the above mentioned surveys with some further data collections applying different methods (e.g. contact diary, a name generator collecting some retrospective data as well on the alters considered to be the most important relations), and have several waves of interviews. Hopefully Fruzsina Albert will be able to present very recent developments as well, based on a data collection carried out in the fall of 2025.
